Diagrams Common Standard Passenger Train Cars Southern Pacific Lines, as of March 1, 1933
This excellent book contains diagrams of the wood and heavyweight cars up to that time. However, if you only know the car number, the book lacks a listing by car numbers, which would enable you to find the class to which it belongs. While the Excel file I created does not list every car in numerical order, it should help you.
